RAF/5/079 - ENHANCING CROP NUTRITION AND SOIL AND WATER MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER IN IRRIGATED SYSTEMS FOR INCREASED FOOD PRODUCTION AND INCOME GENERATION (AFRA) MID-TERM REVIEW MEETING

The Mid-Term Review Meeting under the IAEA Technical Cooperation project RAF5079 “Enhancing Crop Nutrition and Soil and Water Management and Technology Transfer in Irrigated Systems for increased Food Production and Income Generation (AFRA)” will be attended by 16 Project Counterparts representing each Member State participating in the project. The three-day meeting will be a series of interactive online sessions during 27th to 29th October 2020, hosted on the Webex Meetings online platform.

The meeting covers both strategic and operational issues relevant for managing and implementing the project. While the meeting will be mainly focused on doing a review of progress, it also seeks to clarify further the role of the Project Counterpart: it makes reference to procurement, training, meetings, IAEA tools and process as well as technologies used under the project. It provides a platform for learning and peer-to-peer collaboration and sensitise the Project Counterparts to new possibilities in the application of nuclear science in agricultural soil and water management in Africa.
